INYO is committed to your community through INYO Neighborhoods.

INYO Neighborhoods brings to life INYO Broadcast Holdings’ vision to meaningfully contribute to the well-being of our local communities. We are in communities crisscrossing the country from Hawaii to Connecticut and Washington to Florida. We encourage each of our employees to select a charity or non-profit organization that is important or has a special meaning to them to which they can volunteer their time and/or INYO will make a monetary donation. A few of the selected charities or non-profit organizations include:

KPXO Honolulu, Hawai’i: Kako’o ‘oiwi

Engineer Ma’en Halawani chose a monetary donation and volunteered with Kako’o ‘Oiwi. This organization is dedicated to land restoration for local agriculture. When he volunteered, Ma’en spent a morning working the farm picking kalo (taro) for harvest and replanting. He separated the different parts of the crop to be used for different purposes: the corm will be made into poi and served to the public, the leaves will be used for laulau or luau and also served to the public, and the stalk will be replanted in a wetland to jump start the crop for next season.

KPXC Denver, Colorado: aurora police association

Engineer Tom Dall chose to support the Aurora Police Association’s Charitable Foundation by making a financial donation for its Shop with a Cop Event. This event pairs local disadvantaged school-aged children with a police officer to shop for back-to-school necessities. Each child will receive a new pair of shoes, several clothing items, and a backpack filled with school supplies. This event helps children prepare for the school year, it also allows the children to meet people they can trust and turn to in a time of need.
